From where did the name Wren & Stitchy come? In the fall of 2008, I was contemplating opening an Etsy shop and wanted to come up with a catchy name for it, one that I could also use for a crafting blog. I wanted to include some reference to embroidery in the name, and I wanted the name to be one that would be a little humorous. Hubby, kiddo and I tossed around lots of ideas during a roadtrip that fall, but hubby gets the credit for coming up with Wren & Stitchy, which was a play off the name of the Ren & Stimpy animated cartoon series — a cartoon that is a bit warped and gross in its humor, but a cartoon that the four of us (including my grown stepson) love . . . and, really, you just can’t go wrong with a name that has that kind of backstory! To those unfamiliar with Ren & Stimpy, “Wren and Stitchy” is quite respectable a name . . . to those familiar with Ren & Stimpy, well, perhaps the play on the name will give you a chuckle.

HI! Thx for stopping by my blog! I noticed that the link back was empty and you felt you needed to type in your blog url within the comment for me to find you? I have the solution: it’s a box in your profile ‘they’ leave blank for some stupid reason. You just need to enter your blog url in that box and whenever you leave a comment on MY blog, others will be able to click back over and see more! In case you didn’t know. If you do know this, I apologize for my assumption…
Good info, I will check that out, thanks!!
Hello!
Greetings from another corner of wordpress. My name is Kelly Szabo . I’m a new wordpress person and happened to stumble onto your site.
I noticed from your blog that you enjoy fun murder mysteries, and was hoping that you might visit my site at slugstew.wordpress. I have been writing some short murder mysteries for four years now, and am trying to get them out there for people to read – hence my blog. Since you are an avid book reader, I would LOVE your unbiased opinion on my latest Story titled Roses Don’t Tell: A Preschool Teacher’s Dirty Secrets.
Thanks!
Kelly
